New Poet & Painter production. Doing a poetry reading and art show at the studio. Will be featuring 2 guest poets that will also be reading their works. New Pieces from the Just Be series will be making their debut at this show. Should be fun.
Made it, ready for my first Art-A-Whirl.
Now that I'm in the new space gotta get set up for Art-A-Whirl. The nations largest open studio art tour. got about a week to prepare. Here we go.
A new home has been found. A great studio space in Q.arma Building in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Who would have thought that? Not me but here I am. Beautiful new studio that I'm excited to furnish and build my dream and a great space to get to work in. Feeling good and grateful.
Well recovery has been ongoing but with a bit of a heavy heart I've decided to temporarily close the studio as we relocate. We are looking to move for an overall better quality of life and someplace more in tune to us as creatives. St. Pete was great and I've enjoyed my time there. Having multiple studios and being immersed in the art scene has been great as well as eye opening but I realize I need something different than what Florida is offering so I'm stepping out into another location. stay tuned to see where we end up.
After a few months of being out of the studio Blaquejack Studios is back, rebuilt . Thanks to the Artmosphere crew for getting us back up and running. Now begins the recovery and cleaning of damaged art. Trying to salvage negatives and old photography work. Planning an idea to use/incorporate these into new pieces one day. Here we go.
Well the rebuilding of the studios is progressing, man it is crazy what we all went through.
Wow a big hit just struck the studio. Due to the flooding caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton I'm gonna temporarily close the studio as we rebuild and regroup. Yeah it's heartbreaking and it hits in the feels. But I'll bounce back, there is no other option.
Closing out the summer with a bang. Artmosphere is having the So Long Summer show and I will be curating a special side exhibition " In Conversation Series with Poet Maureen McDole and woodworker Scott Solary. Gonna be awesome.

Opening on 01 III 24, The "We R" series will be making its debut, come out and join us for an evening of creative expression.
Starting 2024 off with a bang. Had the privilege of being invited to participate in the "Mandala Project" with Florida CraftArt Gallery, January 04-14. Awesome to be one of 50 artist with my contribution "Medallion 04" from my Just Be series finding its new home. Congrats to the collector.
Closed out the year with "WTF" from the Talk 2 Me series being in the "Texting" show sponsored by Emerge Gallery, NY. November 01-31. Honored to be one of 35 artist selected for this show.
A few pics from the Bridges: Future/Present. Future/Past show at Studio 620 St.Petersburg, FL. November 04-19. A great show and it was great to see a young artist inspired by my work. I was honored by his interest and response to my pieces.

New show at Blush Coffee & Tea featuring the Just Be series and new works for the series. The show runs until March 2023.

Another great event on 01 April. The Where The Wild Things Are fund raiser for Keep St Pete Lit. An organization dedicated to advancing literacy in the St Petersburg, FL area. A great time had by all.
An excellent 2nd Saturday Art Walk was held on 12 February with a pretty good attendance. It was also the opening of the Roarin 20's Collection. The collection was well received with a couple of pieces going to new homes. As an artist it is always appreciated to know that your work has connected and resonated with so many people. Thank you to all who came outings support. A few pieces are going to new homes. If you missed this one, we look forward to seeing you on the next one as well as returning guest and collectors. Next Art Walk is 12 March. See you then.
